One of my favorite re-reads of this series, but I don't like the narrator. Not a fan of men doing women's voices or women doing men's voices. I also don't like his pronunciations of certain words.

I really like this series I wish I had more to listen to, 50 shades of grey was nothing compared to these series. ...my workdays went by so fast while I listened to them. This narrator is my favorite! !

Now this is exactly what I love in a Paranormal Romance! It’s got everything: action, sexiness, betrayal, a drool worthy Alpha male, and an awesome kickass heroine. This was my favorite in the series so far. I loved Holly as a heroine, she surprised me. She had some peculiar habits, and in the beginning I thought she was going to be a wimpy damsel in distress. Not so. I loved that she could rescue herself, even when she didn’t think she could. Her Valkyrie instincts kick in and she is kick ass. It was amusing to see her strange idiosyncrasies, she’s OCD and it showed in everything she did. Even when she has to take a shot at the bar, she can't just have one, always three or an integer of three. I really enjoyed that part of the story, especially when her obsessively neat habits clashed with Cade’s extremely messy ones. I was laughing out loud at those parts. Cade was funny as hell. His expressions were awesome, sometimes he had no idea how offensive they were and it was hilarious. “Kidnap women? I can hardly keep the chits off the jock as it is, pet.” As you can see from that line, he doesn’t lack confidence. I love an arrogant hero (only in a book LOL), especially when he can back up that arrogance with great fighting and bedroom skills—and Cade didn’t lack for either. And I just have to say, when you bet an arrogant demon that he can’t give you an orgasm in under 3 minutes, no one really loses. One of the things I love about this series is that each book can read as a stand-alone. Even though it’s part of a series, it’s really not necessary to read the book before to follow along. Still, I’ve come to love the characters in this world—especially Nix—and I love that we get to see glimpses of them in each book. I definitely recommend this novel (and series) for anyone who loves Paranormal Romance.
