“In Five Years is as clever as it is moving, the rare read-in-one-sitting novel you won’t forget.” —Chloe Benjamin, New York Times bestselling author of The Immortalists

Perfect for fans of Me Before You and One Day—a striking, powerful, and moving love story following an ambitious lawyer who experiences an astonishing vision that could change her life forever.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Dannie Kohan lives her life by the numbers.

She is nothing like her lifelong best friend—the wild, whimsical, believes-in-fate Bella. Her meticulous planning seems to have paid off after she nails the most important job interview of her career and accepts her boyfriend’s marriage proposal in one fell swoop, falling asleep completely content.

But when she awakens, she’s suddenly in a different apartment, with a different ring on her finger, and beside a very different man. Dannie spends one hour exactly five years in the future before she wakes again in her own home on the brink of midnight—but it is one hour she cannot shake. In Five Years is an unforgettable love story, but it is not the one you’re expecting.

It took a while to get into it, although I thought it was clear that she was not going to marry David. Too many time she described them as fitting and right for each and they made sense. There never was anything about passion or joy. I love Megan Hilty although after seeing her in cabarets I was surprised to hear her introduced as the reader I thought she did a great job.

I’ve heard not so good reviews about it but I was happy that I went with it because it was good. Loved it. Easy read

I didn’t like where the book was going after listening to half. I looked up spoilers and I don’t like what happened.  Also, so far it contains a few brief sex scenes and some profanity.  I was really interested in this book after reading the book description and a google search showed lots of people gave good reviews. (4 / 5 stars.) But I wish I had done more research before buying the book.

Happy tears, sad tears, what a great book! A story of friendship and love and the beauty of the unknown. The beauty of living in the moment and allowing life to take us on this wild ride with our loved ones by our side. Absolutely recommend!

Never expected to be such an amazing and sensitive read, love, compassion, self-compassion and cancer are approached by the he author from a rich and beautiful perspective. I love this book!

I found the characters shallow. The name dropping of high end goods, schools and locations became annoying. The narrator was easy to listen to.

The book was entertaining and enjoyed it. The ending was also a little unpredictable but thought it was well written.
