Half way through this long and engrossing series the really great narrator who does the first four books dies. The new guy is ok but without the nuance or vividness of the previous.

Great series. I prefer the voices portrayed by Frank Muller.

I was saddened when starting the audio to see that Frank was not narrating, unaware of circumstances prior. After having just come off I-IV of the series, it took a while to “warm-up” to George. About halfway in, I began my mind began to accept the new and appreciate his style and cadence. It was not until Stephen’s authors note did I understand the events leading to. I was immediately touched and saddened to hear. My thoughts and prayers to everyone close to Frank. George had some very big shoes to fill and I believe he’s done a good job. Thank you Stephen for another great step in the series as well as your contributions to those surround Frank.

Not the best of the 7 but a great addition to the dark tower series. I've read all 7 books twice but this is my first time through on audio. I love Frank Muller narration but George G dose a really good job.

Was really hesitant about what it would be like without Frank Muller and his amazing narration. Took me a bit to get use to the change, but George is an excellent narrator and has made for a almost seamless transition. Helps that its my favourite book series of all time.

this narrator sounds retarded and makes me uncomfortable. the last narrator was incredible. this one sucks.

This narrator was the one that read The Gunslinger. He’s good, just not as good as Frank Muller. The voices being so different seems off. I’m getting used to it though. I still think it’s an excellent book and an excellent series.

I've listened to the book on CD as well and I think this book was well narrated and it's a great chapter in the dark tower series

This is my second time through the series. I have never before read any book let alone an entire series. It is much, much better the second time though. I could not believe how much I missed or did not connect the first time.

Apparently it was due to a terrible motorcycle accident that ended his career as a recording artist. The foundation serves to help those freelance artists who end up in similar hardships and Frank. If you're a Stephen King fan and an audio book fan, then I'm sure you're also a Frank Muller fan. He describes the Haven Foundation at the end of the recording. As for the book, it is fantastic and I really enjoy the audio version as I think he's a great voice for Roland and the gunslinger world. I very much enjoyed every bit of this book and the adventure the ka tet goes on in the Calla. It also brings in other worlds, other books, that true fans can appreciate. I'm so excited to continue this series that I downloaded the next book before I even wrote this review. So far, this story is my favorite out of the series. I can't wait to see if the rest of the series beats it!

Loved the series and this was the most exciting book of them all. This is where the characters shine most.

Probably my favorite book of the series so far. Read half of it and listened to half of it. Can’t wait to read the final 2 installments.

I read all these books as they came out, the eyes aren't what they used to be. A new experience listening to these books. I get to hear pieces of the story i may have missed the first time. I knew about the accident that affected the previous books narrator years ago when i read it the first time. After hearing him do the first books the difference was noticable and it was a hard act to follow

Man, going from Frank Muller to this guy really sucked. Frank was an amazing narrator, but the guy who read this book was just terrible in my opinion. His voices are very bad, especially Eddie. Even made Oy sound stupid. Mannnn I miss Frank!!! He couldn’t even pronounce Cuthbert the same way Frank did? Just to keep the flow right? This dude sucks and talks like he’s got a mouth full of food. It definitely made this book much less enjoyable and that sucks cuz I could just lose myself to Frank’s reading and really picture everything he was saying.

What can you say, Stephen King knows how to tell a tale. Would like to see these books done with several different actors reading it. Such as Susana done by a woman and Jake done by a boy. One narrator reading all the parts and trying to change his own voice just doesn't work that well.

A truly awesome series ! Now listening to book VI. So sorry to see the end coming .

a Great addition to the Dark Tower series. really enjoyed it. Great to get caught up with some old characters from stories long ago. A very action packed story.

I am a huge fan of all the dark tower books but wolves of the calla is my favorite of them all. its my go to read.

Amazing story. I cannot for the life of me figure out how Stephen King writes such fantastically intertwined stories, using his old writings with his new. Blows my mind.

I'm a big fan of the tower series, as I am of all of Kings books. The book will not let you down. He is a craftsman at character development, as much as a story teller. This is an excellent choice. I would recommend reading these in order and I highly recommend this book.

Dark Tower is my favorite story of all time. Roland and his world is real I'm sure of it! Don't miss out on the Dark Tower books. You can't fully understand or appreciate King's work until you read them. The narrator is fantastic too.

I really like these books! I like how even the book 11/22/63 was tied in a conversation about Kennedy an changing the out come of time.
