Unabridged Audiobook
Narrators are very talented, they gave it their all even in the spicy scenes. Super bummed there’s not a second book yet.
I enjoy everything about this book
I really enjoyed this one. The narrating is my favorite out of the books I've listened too.
For the story, the main male character whispers a lot and I understand that it makes sense to have them whisper, BUT it makes it hard to actually hear and I have to turn the volume up really high which then is an issue when the female character starts speaking. The story isn’t amazing, but I binged listening to it. I like the story!
I loved the story.
I cannot wait for the next book!!!!
A great story, easy to follow and very entertaining. I personally thought it was a little funny how naive the princess is. Can’t wait to listen to book 2!
Loved it. Listened to it in one day. Can't wait for my next credit to I can get the second one.
So fun and engaging!
Love…love…love!!
The plot: Great. The Male reader: Sexiest Voice Ever. Now the rest: I don’t know why I feel like this but both narrators sounded like they were in their 50s even though the characters were supposed to be in their 20s. The male sounded a lot like Richard Armitage (who I love) but didn’t match his voice with all the emotions and happenings that was going on. Sometimes he did. The female lead’s tone hardly changed making it hard to tell whether she was narrating a thought or describing a scene or if she was speaking dialogue. Often, I’d think she was just reading but was actually speaking dialogue. It matters, because it makes a difference in how you hear the story. The author often ended chapters oddly- mid scene. Even the “cliffhanger” at the end seemed like she just stopped writing instead of actually ending it. And Callum called Aurora “Princess” five thousand times and I personally, got sick of hearing it. Blake’s voice and Ryan’s voice was funny. Especially Ryan. Why not get the male lead to voice them instead of having the female lead create voices for them? She didn’t do a great job and Ryan sounded like a girl.
Great!
I am on the edge of my seat for book 2. This was an incredible ride and the narrators are excellent.
I loved the characters, the plot and the audio.
Surprisingly enjoyable. Good world building and really got going in the last third and looking forward to what is next. Ideally the narrator would whisper differently as can be hard to hear but otherwise great.
Great book, great narrators!
I’m really enjoying this series. The FMC is pretty annoying and I’m not really sure why either of the MMCs like her, but they’re hot enough to carry the book. I can’t decide if I’m on Team Callum or Team Blake, but the voice actor for Callum is
absolutely captivating from the beginning to the end. I consumed it and the second book in 2 days.
Great audiobook
VA for Aurora did a crazy good job. She sounds like Mia Farrow from The Last Unicorn!!! Just wish she didn’t have to do the voices for all of the male side characters. They ended up all sounding the same. Loved the story just wish it wasn’t so repetitive. The first 15 chapters are like Tangled when she keeps going back and forth between I’m free and omg I just left. Got kinda boring. The rest of the book was similar in circular talking but added more depth/content to the story.
Loved the series and can’t wait for another book to come out
my first audiobook. loved the story easy to follow. gave me all I wanted as a simple story for Mom duties lol..... and the mas voice, melt worthy
Hands down one of the best series, I’ve read in a long time if you are into Highlander and you have a thing for Scottish guys this is the book for you!
Love this audio book! Interesting story line, highlander meets Scottish DANNIKA DARK. Great narrator’s able to cover several characters, spicy.
