Unabridged Audiobook
enjoyed the focus on the victims instead of the killer
It's a great book! I enjoyed this new, modern angle, the stories of the women that are not idealized, but still wonderful, just like the title claims. The author's point of view on the famous serial killer is very contemporary.
Two quotes that stuck with me are “grief is a messy chore” and “Old souls are just people who had to fend for themselves ahead of their time.”
Absolutely loved this book. Wonderful blend of true crime and fiction, and a much needed shift in focus/POV. Suspenseful and intriguing without being salacious or worshipful of the perpetrator. The novel focuses on the parts of true crime that are routinely ignored or given an obligatory mention. It is anger inducing but somehow manages to illicit warmth and hope.
Great read!
Really enjoyed this book. Its a different take on Ted Bundy. I loved how much focus the author put on the victims.
