Unabridged Audiobook
Great detail history!
I was so excited to listen to this story. l love Mark Harmon. But it was very dissapointing. I quit listening to it. Dry and very boring. Maybe it could have been good, but it was all fact with very little character building. Terribly boring
Overall an interesting story but as much as I enjoy Mark Harmon, the reading was difficult to listen to. Very monotone and dry. I will most likely read/listen to his future books, but I hope they choose a different audio talent.
This is a fascinating deep-dive and a quick listen. The story behind the creation of this book is equally fascinating for NCIS fans. Harmon does an okay job—not his best work—but then the diary format and names and details to keep track of make it a more difficult task for the narrator. Would definitely try reading the print version.
Ok story
Very good listen. I enjoy history so this was right up my alley. I dont know if everyone would enjoy this one, but I would recommend it if this is your kind of thing. Mark Harmon narrating was such a good touch. I thought he did a great job.
The content was interesting and well researched, but a book with a huge amount of Japanese names should have been read by someone who could pronounce most of them. It was constantly grating.
Enjoyed this lesson of history
Was this book read by a computer? The point of a sentence was often lost because the reader apparently didn't see it coming. The story was reasonably interesting, albeit anticlimactic.
Very interesting and well read. Lovely voice.
