Intense….essentially that is the best word I can use to describe just about everything that this book entails. From the journey they were undertaking, the people who made up the party, the weather they would encounter, the terrain they traveled across, the tragic events that would unfold and cost many of the members their lives, the unthinkable decisions the survivors would be forced to make in order to try and live another day. It’s just all so absolutely intense.

great book! REALLY REALLY BAD narrator….. he put me to sleep over and over. felt like I was taking a college course and being lectured to. Super monotone and just bad….. in addition st. helena in napa was incorrectly pronounced. very unprofessional as well as an oversight that should not have happened.

This was a great listen from start to finish. Being familiar with all the areas addressed helped, but an amazing story and history of this tragic group.

Absolutely incredible and engaging. An unbelievable story that comes alive and captures your attention and doesn’t let go until the end. Event then, the memories are etched in your mind. It’s truly an amazing story.
